Gonadorelin

Gonadorelin, also known as gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), is a synthetic decapeptide that plays a pivotal role in regulating the reproductive system. It stimulates the anterior pituitary gland to release luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), which are essential for gonadal function. Clinically, gonadorelin is utilized to assess pituitary function and treat conditions like amenorrhea and hypogonadotropic hypogonadism.

• Flushing: Transient episodes of skin flushing can occur.

• Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS): Though rare, OHSS is a severe side effect characterized by significant abdominal pain, bloating, nausea, and rapid weight gain. Immediate medical attention is required if symptoms manifest.
